Snowdonia National Park
few pictures above of the beach which I must say is probably one of the best beeches around. Safe and open an ideal place to let the kids of their leads a run, some great rock pools full of crabs, fish and other sea life (watch out for some large jelly fish on the beech). Nice town but can get a little packed at times but some interesting shops, with everything you need. Also has a small supermarket for provisions. Loverly harbour which used to be home to the life boat house but that has now moved to a more central location. Fishing trips and boat trips available. Plenty of parking but again depending on time of the year it can get full. Parking also along sea front.
The road leading in is narrow as is the road that leads out the other side which incidentally leads on to Harlic Castle. You may also see low flying jet fighters and other millitary aircraft around as an air base is located futher up coast.
The area however is of outstanding beauty and without a doubt there are plenty of walks ranging from gentle rambles to extreme climbs. There are plenty of B+B in the area and also plenty of campsites with full facities. From a day out to a full blown holiday for the familly or for a walking expedition this area is fantastic.
